Andy Capwell’s ‘American Idol’ Update: Top 24 Part Two
The final season of American Idol will come to an end in April with it's fifteenth and final winner. Last night, the remaining twelve contestants from the top twenty-four performed. Here's how it went.
1. Shelbie Z: 'Work Hard, Play Harder' by Gretchen Wilson. She sang it with power and attitude and worked the stage!
2. Manny Torres: 'Adventure Of A Lifetime' by Colplay. He was pretty good, that will be a trend for the night. The judges say he didn't connect with the song.
3. Kory Wheeler: 'Let It Go' by Jason Day. He played the piano and sang it nicely.
4. Amelia Eisenhauer: 'Wake Me Up' by Avinci. She was nasally sounding and awkward on stage.
5.Jenn Blosil" 'Sorry' by Justin Bieber and sorry could be a good way to describe that performance! My notes read dying cat-like, off-pitch.
6. CJ Johnson: 'I'll Be' by Edwin McCain. Straight ahead, solid performance.
7. Lee Jean: ' Runaway' by Ed Sherran I thought he sounded a little scared up on stage. Judges liked him.
8. Trent Harmon: 'What Are You Listening To' by Chris Stapleton. It was decent, for my taste to tries too much at times.
9. Tristan MacIntosh: 'Good Girl' by Carrie Underwood. It was pretty good. She seemed slightly off at times. She was one of my early favorites. Hope she sticks around.
10. Adam Lasher: ' Black & Gold' I kind of liked but the judges really didn't. See ya, Adam
11. Dalton Rapottoni: 'Rebel Yell' 60/40 of broadway and rock. Girls loved it, judges loved it. Jennifer Lopez had goosies.
12. Olivia Rox: Confident by Demi LaVato Good tone, good job.
