I love food. I love saving money. I actually enjoy grocery shopping. I will occasionally clip coupons from the Sunday newspaper, but I find that I usually spend more when I use coupons, because I buy things that I normally wouldn't. Here's one of my sure fire money saving supermarket secrets.

My Money Saving Supermarket Secret is cheese and meat ends. I almost always hit the supermarket deli and I'll either buy sandwich meats and cheese that are on sale or I ask the clerk if they have any cheese and meat ends.

The supermarket that I shop at sells meat and cheese ends for only $3.99 per pound. This is usually cheaper than most of the deli meats and cheeses that they sell.

I love all cheese and almost all deli meat, the only deli meat I don't like is pickle loaf. So, I just ask the deli counter person to mix and match one pound of either the cheese and meat. The key for me is I ask for the thinner sliced pieces, sometimes I get larger chunks to make it to one pound.

Just yesterday, I got one pound of cheese ends and meat ends and ended up with Cooper Sharp, American, Swiss, turkey, honey ham, turkey pastrami. Another bonus is that you get a variety as well as saving money.

There you go, that's my money saving Supermarket Secret.
