According to WMTW, the search is continuing Tuesday for an armed suspect accused of targeting a multi-million-dollar seaside home in Massachusetts, assaulting the housekeeper, and making off with valuables.

Police say the incident unfolded just before 9 AM on Saturday, when a neighbor called 911 to report a home invasion at a sprawling property on Paine Avenue in Beverly. Investigators believe the suspect forced their way into the roughly 27,000-square-foot mansion, where the housekeeper was the only person inside at the time.

Authorities say the suspect attacked her, restrained her, and left her tied up in the garage before taking off with several items. Despite the ordeal, the woman was able to escape and get help from a nearby neighbor.

Homeowner Thomas Swan III described the attack as deeply disturbing, saying the housekeeper was threatened with a gun, physically dragged, and left bound, leaving her severely shaken by the experience.

Police say the suspect also stole a vehicle from the property, which was later recovered in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Swan indicated the suspect appeared to know the property well and had specific items in mind, suggesting the crime may have been targeted.

The housekeeper was treated at Beverly Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released. Swan said he believes those responsible will be held accountable, but acknowledged the incident has left everyone rattled.

The investigation remains ongoing.
