Winter has officially arrived, and that means families are looking for any outdoor fun to be had. Because of the ongoing pandemic, they are especially looking for social distanced fun. Anything to help our kids burn off that extra energy that they have a harder time exerting during the colder months.

Last week, Augusta Parks and Recreation announced that the Parks and Rec crew were building a public ice rink at Mill Park, and if all goes well with below freezing temps, it should be open soon. But, that's not the only Ice Rink coming to Augusta courtesy of Augusta parks and rec.

According to the Augusta Parks and Recreation - Maine Facebook page, Augusta is getting a second ice rink. This rink will be located be on the basketball courts behind the Buker Community Center.
