I know Thanksgiving was only yesterday but I need to spread the word as soon as possible for next week!

B98.5 is once again helping the Salvation Army in Waterville with their annual Christmas Castle! You can help, too!

Starting this Tuesday, Randy and I will be broadcasting live from the Waterville Salvation Army Christmas Castle on College Avenue right next to the Salvation Army Store. Each year, we are there for a few Tuesdays asking listeners to adopt families for Christmas. There are usually over 200 families in need and this year is no exception. The economy has certainly taken the wind out of many sails and the money out of people's wallets.

If you are a business or a family or an individual that would like to help, it's easy to do! Just call the Waterville Salvation Army at 872-2172 and say you would like to adopt a family! You can choose the size of family you want from 1 child to many more. You are responsible for buying the gifts on the list for the children and a gift certificate for the dinner for that family.

Not only can you adopt a family but you can volunteer to to ring the bell at locations around the town or donate food for the Christmas dinners. You can also pick up an Angel Tag. There are Angel Trees located around Waterville that will have tags with a toy on it that needs to be bought.

Don't forget about the Coats For Kids Campaign. There will be locations where you can drop off new or gently used coats for adults and children. Every child deserves to be warm this winter. If you child has outgrown their coat for this year, donate it!

I know we all don't have alot of money this year but please find it in your hearts to help someone in need this year. There are many different ways to help, as you can see! Please, give the gift of giving to those less fortunate this year. Santa will definitely put you on the NICE list!
