As we bid farewell to the 5th Annual Camp Out Hunger, it's time to reflect on the impact it had on us and the community. Let's also revel in the celebration of our impressive totals.
The kids have been very present here donating at Camp Out Hunger. It's times like these where I am so proud of them and most importantly their parents, so I wrote you all a letter.
The stats are staggering when it comes to hunger in Maine. It's a stigma that is thick but vital to know and try to help our brothers and sisters struggle to eat in our state.

Today is day four of Camp Out Hunger, and we have loaded up and filled one of the two Uhaul trucks. We have had so many amazing people stop in, in hopes of giving back to their neighbors. It really is what it is all about helping those around you, the ones you might not even know...
It's day 3 of Camp Out Hunger, which means we are at the halfway point of our weeklong food drive. Buzz and I, and Matt and Renee from the Moose Morning show, are camped out in Sam's Club parking lot collecting food, and we are still in need of nonperishable food donations...
Coats For Kids Campaign is underway here in Central Maine. With the colder temps comes the need for warm coats, hats and mittens. Your outgrown outerwear can be the difference in a child's winter. PrattAbbot Cleaners receives the donated items, cleans them and the Salvation Army distributes them.
