Bed Bath & Beyond To Close Multiple Stores

Retailer... Bed Bath and Beyond announced it will close 40 stores, no word if any of the 40 will be Maine locations however, they also plan to open 15  "lab stores", which they say will be stores with new layouts as they move to reinvent themselves with sales sliding.

According to usatoday.com  21 “lab stores” the chain opened in 2018 have shown promise with higher sales compared to the more traditional brick and mortar set-ups. These "lab store"  are experimental and focus more on home decor, food and beverage, and health and beauty products.
