Hostess has brought the taste of the state fair to your kitchen with Deep Fried Twinkies! The come in the original golden and chocolate and in packs of seven (that's an odd number, literally!).

I picked up the Deep Fried Twinkies at Walmart for $4.76.

The instructions recommend that you heat them up in a conventional oven at 350 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. We used the toaster oven at work, also preheat at 350 degrees and baked for 8 to 10 minutes. They also have deep fryer instructions.

They have 220 calories, 9 grams of fat, 20 mg of cholesterol, 32 grams of carbs, 16 grams of sugar and 3 grams of protein.

They also say that you might want to reduce the cooking time 1-2 minutes next time if you lost your creme filling, so I am thinking that we use the lower end of the cook time.

So how did we like them? Well, you'll have to watch our video!

AND as a BEE-hind the scenes bonus...see our pre-video prep as Randy is incredulous that some of his coworkers don't preheat their ovens before cooking!
