Camp Out Hunger 2021 – Day 4 – A Buzz Eye View
Day 4 of our 3rd Annual Camp Out Hunger is on it's final hours and what a day it has been! I say that with the highest sense of pride and gratitude.
We started the chilly morning with one truck loaded and another one just starting to be filled. Of course this is the day that the call for action really shines as it was busy all day, even from the moment we awoke.
It was a pleasant surprise to find donated item dropped off in the overnight hours, even the the invitation is open for people to knock on the door of one of the trailers in the wee hours of the morning most of the overnight drop offs where done in silence.
A major shout out to Sam's Club and their generosity over the entire event, even over the past three years, they have been nothing short of amazing helping us daily with food for us, the on-air staff, several huge pallets of donations, and even a bunch of boxes to help us pack the trucks more efficiently.
Today was the day of some large donations, including first thing this morning the sounds of three pallet trucks from Sam's Club dropping of 4 full pallets of items, next we were surprised by a "homeless" man that wished to remain anonymous, that only had his car and very limited resources, brought us all coffees and donuts, seriously a heart felt moment.
Central Church came by again with multiple carts and a surprise came when a Pepsi Truck pulled up and off loaded two full pallets of spring water. The stories and donations continued through out the day. We even had to readjust the space in both trucks to make more room for food donations. A huge thank you to everyone that has donated, we couldn't do this without you and your kind support.
Tomorrow will mark the final day of Camp Out Hunger 2021, we will once again be taken donations through Saturday afternoon, thank you again for making this a huge success each year!
Here are a few highlight sights from today as seen through the lens of my camera.
