Check Out The 2021 Concert Schedule For Boston’s Fenway Park
Despite the fact that we are currently experiencing another COVID-19 wave throughout New England, concert promoters are optimistic about the upcoming concert season.
We are seeing Waterfront Concerts schedule shows for both Darling's Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor and The Maine Savings Pavilion in Westbrook. And, in New Hampshire, we are seeing concerts being scheduled at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion.
At this point, it is mostly country and classic rock shows, but it appears we may soon see some pop and hip hop acts announce rescheduled shows.
In addition to the shows in Maine and New Hampshire, it looks like concerts will return to Boston's Fenway Park this summer.
According to News Center Maine, the schedule for the Plainridge Park Casino Fenway Concert Series has been unveiled.
As with most New England concert venues, many of the shows are concerts that were originally scheduled to take place in the summer of 2020. Those 2020 shows had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The current lineup includes:
- July 16: New Kids on the Block
- July 17 and 18: Def Leppard & Motley Crue joined by special guests Poison and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
- August 3: Guns N’ Roses
- August 4: Billy Joel
- August 5: Green Day
- August 7: Lady Gaga
- September 12: Maroon 5 joined by special guests Leon Bridges and Meghan Trainor
- September 14: Aerosmith
Clearly, until the virus has been completely beaten back, there will probably be varying levels of COVID-19 restrictions. And, if there are virus flareups, we could see these shows postponed again. And, currently, this schedule still needs to be approved by the City of Boston.
Tickets from the postponed (rescheduled) shows are still valid.
