Country News: Kid Rock Engaged and Garth Brooks First Number One Song

Kid Rock and longtime girlfriend Audrey Berry are engaged. Rock popped the question earlier this year. Berry was seen wearing a large diamond ring but Berry and Rock kept their relationship quiet because Berry was not used to the public eye. Rock was married to Pamela Anderson.

Chris Young will play a free concert on the 4^th of July in Nashville this year. It will be held near Nashville’s Riverfront Park and will be called the ‘Let Freedom Sing.’ It will be a day of family entertainment and will include performances from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. According to The Boot it also billed as the biggest fireworks show in America.

It was 28 years ago on April 12 that Garth Brooks released his first album, ‘Garth Brooks.’ That album was the beginning of change in country music and launched on of the most successful music careers of all time. The first single from the album was ‘Much Too Young (to feel This Damn Old)’ which was hit first top 10 hit. The second song release was ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ which was his first #1 hit. According to The Boot, Brooks wrote 5 of the 10 songs on the album.
