If you listen to Buzz and Kristi in the morning regularly, you probably already know that my husband Stephen broke a bone in his hand a few weeks ago. The exact bone he broke is the scaphoid bone in his wrist, and it's not been an easy transition for him.

Stephen is super active in general, and then you add in the good weather of Summer, and he's even more active. Swimming, hiking, biking, boating, and really anything as long as it gets him outside.

If you've never broken your arm or leg or any bone that requires you to wear a cast, then maybe you're unaware of just how hot and sweaty and downright gross casts become in the summer. Oh, or how hard it is to do simple everyday tasks like taking a shower.

After about 2 weeks out of the12 plus he will have with his new handy dandy hand-cast, I realized that a plastic grocery bag wouldn't cut it for showers or swimming. I did a little research and found a super neat waterproof cast sleeve that goes over the cast and suction to the arm, causing a water-resistant seal.

So, if you or someone you know is also broken, order this. You won't regret it! I was a little skeptical at first, given this was a first for us, but I'm happy to say it's been the best injury investment to date.
