Over the last two decades, Maine has really become a craft beer lover's paradise.  Shpyard, Cushnoc, Bigelow Brewing, Bissell Brothers, Jokers & Rogues, Bateau Brewing...

These days, almost every town and city has a least a few commercial craft breweries.

Because of the number of breweries we have in the State of Maine, we are not at all surprised at how popular brewfests have become.

More than just booths of vendors handing out samples of their brews, these events have become real parties.  In addition to the beer, many feature hard alcohol samples, food, live music, and more.  They really are full on parties!

One of the best brewfests in the state is hidden away in the Town of Sidney.

Snow Pond Center For The Arts' Snow Pond On Tap is Maine's only lakeside brewfest.

Located at the beautiful Bowl In The Pines Amphitheater, this year's brewfest will be on Saturday, September 16th.

For those who are unfamiliar, the Bowl In The Pines Amphitheater is located right on the shores of Messalonskee Lake.  So, not only is it a picturesque place, there is always a cool breeze blowing in off the lake.  So, even on the hottest days, the temp is still very comfortable.
