When you think of Waldoboro, Maine, you may think of clamming, 5 masted schooners, Moody's Diner but, home to a new feature film Lucas McNelly hopes to film there is probably not at the top of your list but, maybe it should be.

According to a story by the Lincoln County News, McNelly, a Waldoboro native plans to shoot the movie right in his hometown of Waldoboro in September.

Although this would be the 3rd movie that McNelly has made, this one called, "Maine Noir" will be the first one to be completely filmed in Waldoboro if he can secure the $45,000 needed to get things off the ground.

The film already has it's own website: mainenoir.com

The film will focus on a woman and her daughter who are quite excited to get a second chance at life when they learn they inherited a house but all is not as cozy as it may sound as the house has a bunch on money stashed in the walls of the home that someone really wants to get back.

You can follow the progress of the movie on the website, or look for it on Facebook.
