Former Waterville Business Owner Sentenced On Fed Drug Charges
The former owner of Green Thumb Organics, a medical marijuana business in Waterville, Daniel Hall, of Benton had pled guilty back in January to distribution of both cocaine & marijuana, as well as, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and also possession of firearms by an unlawful user of controlled substances according to a report by Mainebiz.
Last week Hall, 32, was sentenced to 27 months in prison by a Bangor Federal Court.
Investigators served multiple warrants after an informant was sold cocaine and marijuana at the Waterville business. That lead to several seizures.
Waterville Police Chief Joseph Massey said:
“This was an important case because Mr. Hall owned and operated a medical marijuana business in Waterville where he illegally sold marijuana and other illegal drugs.”
Several law enforcement agencies worked together on this case including the Waterville police department, U.S. DEA, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and also the Somerset County Sheriff department.
