Over the last few decades, Maine has really become a 'foodie' state.

Maine residents and visitors can dine on everything from tacos (both Mexican-style and California-style), steak, seafood, Thai noodle dishes, amazing fried chicken, BBQ, French cuisine, and more.

And, these offerings aren't just limited to Maine's larger cities, either.  Nearly every town in the state has at least a few stellar restaurants.

Waterville is no exception to this rule, either.

The Lion's Den, Silver Street Tavern, Buen Apetito, Cushnoc Cantina, Portland Pie Company, and OPA are a few of the many standout restaurants in the town.

There will soon be another eatery gracing Waterville's downtown.

According to an article in the KJ, Jendi Crepe and Smoothie will open on Main Street this August.

The the name implies, Jendi Crepe and Smoothi is all about made-to-order crepes, stuffed with whatever your heart (or stomach) desires. We’re talking everything from Nutella and Kinder-brand chocolate to pistachio, kiwi, and fresh strawberries.  Want it drizzled with white or dark chocolate?

They even plan to have waffles on the menu.

But it’s not just about the sweets.

Mohammad Aljendi, the owner, says the shop will also feature smoothies made with 100% natural ingredients.  These will include real fruit like mango, avocado, kiwi, and strawberry.  No weird fillers or mystery syrups here.

They’ll also be pouring cold coffee and a variety of energy drinks, perfect for a Main Street pick-me-up.

The business will be located at 40 Main Street, formerly Madlyn's Consignment.  While a specific opening date has not been set, the plan is to open sometime this August.

We wish him all the best with this new business.
