According to a press release from the Board of Directors of the Kennebec Valley YMCA, they have made the official announcement regarding the Executive Director position.

After the retirement of former Executive Director Tom Warren back in March the KVYMCA has been in search of the perfect person to fill that role. After Tom's retirement, Ranae L'Italien, long time employee of KVYMCA, stepped in to fill that role while the Board of Directors continued to search amid the corona virus pandemic for a new full time Executive Director.

After watching Ranae in her career with KVYMCA over the past 15+ years and as she  continuously delivered an outstanding performance in her role as the interim Executive Director, the Board of Directors knew that she was the perfect person to fulfill this position on a full time basis.

Board President Bill Bridgeo said “The Board and I feel very fortunate that we have Ranae on board to guide our organization in this immensely challenging time. Her poise and competence and dedication to the Y and its mission have always impressed us but those qualities have shone brightly in the past couple of months. Ranae enjoys the full support of our great staff team. She is well respected by the membership at large and in the greater Kennebec Valley community.”
