If you own a KIA Sorento or a KIA Optima or know someone that does, heads up, there has just been a second recall issued that will effect almost a half million vehicles according to a report by ABC news.

440,000 SUVs and sedans are being recalled due to the potential for engine fires to ignite. The vehicles in question are 2013-2015 Optima sedans, and 2014-2015 Sorentos.

If you recall these are the same vehicles that were subject to a recall last year due to fluid leakage that caused electrical shorts and increased the possibility of engine fires. This was a concern as it could happen even when a vehicle was parked.

Owners can expect contact from the manufacturer via local dealers to replace the fuses with lower amped fused which will mitigate the issue. Those notices should arrive in the next several months.
