Maine Included On Listeria Egg Product Recall
Maine has now been included on an expanded recall by the CDC regarding products that contain hard-boiled eggs because of a deadly outbreak of listeria. The recalled food was sold under brand names carried by Walmart, Costco, Kroger, and many other stores.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that people in 5 states, including Maine have gotten sick, and one person has died over the exposure.
The egg products being recalled were sold under multiple brand names. The CDC suggests throwing away any store bought hard-boiled eggs or products containing hard-boiled eggs, such as egg salad. If you have these products at home, don’t eat them. Throw them away, regardless of where you bought them or the use-by date.
