Maine Legislature Transitions From Civic Center To State House
As Covid-19 numbers continue to drop in the State of Maine, many places are forging ahead to a more normal existence. That includes the Maine Legislature who are now returning back to the State House which does mark the first time today since the pandemic began.
According to a report by WMTW, the Augusta Civic Center has played host to Maine politics which has allowed for much more space and social distancing.
Although the return to the State House for both the House & Senate, the issue of mask wearing is still a hotly debated issue with the State House still requiring masks.
As recently as last week some legislators were asked to leave after entering the State House mask-less.
Maine House Republicans are not saying much regarding the mask issue but it is fair to say that it is not sitting well with everyone.
