
Maine Woman Dies After SUV Crashes Into a Lewiston Home
A young Maine woman lost her life as a result of a tragic motor-vehicle crash in Lewiston early Wednesday morning.
According to an article on the WMTW website, police were called to a residence on Webster Road in Lewiston at about 4:15 on Wednesday morning.
When they arrived, first responders found that a 2017 BMW SUV had crashed into a single-family home. Several people were reportedly trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extracted.
Sadly, one of the vehicle's occupants, 28-year-old Natasha Thoits, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, 25-year-old Blaze Small, of Lewiston, was injured in the crash. Another occupant, who was not named, was taken to Central Maine Medical Center to be treated.
A fourth person reportedly fled the scene on foot before first responders arrived.

It is believed that speed and impairment were contributing factors in the crash.
