Randy’s Almost Done Cutting Wood for the Winter

Seems like it’s been all summer I have been cutting wood getting ready for winter, but when I look back on it, June was so rainy I didn’t cut much then. July, August and now into September have been months where practically every weekend I was out cutting and splitting. The good news is I am almost done.

The key word is ‘almost’ because I got a call from a friend of a friend saying they had a tree that was taken down by CMP last year and, if I wanted it, it is free for the taking. I’m all over that. I burn between 5 to 6 cords of wood in the winter and I have plenty now, so anything extra I can get while the weather still cooperates, is a bonus.
