
Authorities Continue to Search For Man Who Dove Into Maine’s Kennebec River to Rescue His Dog
According to an article on the WMTW website, authorities continue to search for a man who dove into the Kennebec River on Sunday in an effort to save his dog.
The article explains that 22-year-old Robert Stolt, along with at least one other person and two dogs, was fishing from a 23-foot-long boat on Sunday afternoon.
At just after 2 PM, in the vicinity of Lines Island, Stolt dog jumped into the water. Stoltz dove into the water in order to rescue to pup. At some point, the woman who was on the boat with Stoltz also ended up in the water.
Both the woman and Stoltz's dog were rescued, but he was not found.
First responders immediately launched a full-scale search for Stolt. The search was centered on Lines Island, which is located in the middle of the Kennebec River between Bath and Woolwich. Even though the search continued through 11 PM, he was not located.

The search resumed at 5 AM this morning. In addition to boats and people on foot, a plane was used to conduct an aerial search.
