An idea that started in high school is still going strong today. Charley Friedman came up with the idea of Flowfold wallets when his leather wallet fell apart.

Friedman said the idea came to him while he was in high school working for a sail maker. The cloth used for the sails was really high performance material used for racing yachts so he made his own wallet from scraps of the material.

Friends admired the wallet and started asking for them and his business evolved from there. The product was created in Maine and is still made here.

The sailcloth is made from Diamond Fiber which is made up of carbon fiber or Kevlar. Not only do they make wallets, they also make tote bags.
