We knew it was going to happen. There had been rumblings online for the last month or so, and now, Taco Bell has confirmed it will start taking things down from its menu on Aug. 13.

If you follow any of the hype on social media over this downsizing most of the concern  is surrounding the loss of the beloved, Quesarito, a combo creation that pairs a beef burrito with a quesadilla all in one belly busting product. I never even knew these existed but my latest drive-thru experience had my daughter ordering one and saying I was missing the boat! I still was happy with my crunchy taco supreme, and apparently, they will not be touched...phew!  . In a news release, "The Belll"  relayed what they giveth and what they taketh away.

As far a what is dropping of the menu board, say good bye to:

  • Grilled Steak Soft Taco
  • 7-Layer Burrito
  • Nachos Supreme
  • Beefy Fritos Burrito
  • Spicy Tostada
  • Triple Layer Nachos
  • Spicy Potato Soft Taco
  • Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes
  • Loaded Grillers (Cheesy Potato, Beefy Nacho)
  • Chips & Dips
  • Mini Skillet Bowl
  • Quesarito

Now even through the Quesarito is going off the menu board, Taco Bell says that you can still order the Quesarito digitally via the website or on their app. So not really going away, just into the broom closet for now.

A few things to look forward to according to the press release:

● $5 Grande Nachos Box: Includes a layer of tortilla chips, a double serving of seasoned beef, refried beans, nacho cheese sauce, three-cheese blend, pico de gallo, guacamole and reduced-fat sour cream. The box, which comes complete with a medium drink, is returning for a limited time and is available for pick-up, delivery, and in our app.
● Beef Burrito: A new permanent addition to our Cravings Value Menu, we’re certain this $1** burrito will become a new fan favorite.

Now I don't know about you, but all this talk about food has started a rumbly in my tumbly. Until next time...enjoy!
