It's swimming season here in New England, and if you're anything like me, you relish every moment of it. We do, however, have to remember that when we swim in the ocean, we are in shark territory. And there is one beach in Massachusetts where you should think twice before entering the water.
It turns out that some of the fastest sharks in the world are here in the coastal waters of Maine. If you're thinking 'Jaws', yeah. He's out there somewhere.

Syfy channels ‘Sharknado’ movies have been a surprise hit for the network. There has been a ‘Sharknado 1 & 2, both starring Ian Ziering and Tara Reid. Both stars will return for ‘Sharknado 3’, but some new names have been announced for the next movie.
Katy Perry’s half time show was seen by more people at a Super Bowl than any other half time show. One of the songs featured a beach scene with dancing beach balls and sharks. The shark on the ‘left’ has been identified as long time Perry back-up dancer Brian Gaw.
Marine biologists at the University of Hawaii and the University of Tokyo have attached webcams to the fins of sharks in the hope to study their habits. Thirty sharks of various types were fitted with the webcams that include a camera, sensors and VHF transmitters.
