It's hard to believe the 14th annual 'Tanksgiving' Food Drive has come to an end. What a great week we had. Thank you to everybody throughout central Maine who made a donation of non-perishable food or money.

With your help families throughout central Maine will get food in their cupboards.

Our 'Tanksgiving' Food Drive will be sending non-perishable food to the Salvation Army to Augusta and Waterville and a monetary donation to 20 area food banks.

There are so many people to thank.

First of all, our sponsors, the Maine Credit Union League and Supercuts.

Thanks to Walmart in Augusta and Farmington. Shaw's in Augusta and Waterville. George's Banana Stand in Skowhegan and Goggin's IGA in Randolph for allowing to do our food drive at their stores!

Also, a special thank you to Sheriff Randall Liberty and the men and women of the Kennebec County Sheriff's Department. To Lieutenant Kama and Joel Lyle of the Salvation Army and the volunteers from the Augusta Food Bank and all the local restaurants that feed us while we were collecting the food!

I want to share my experience at Walmart in Farmington. I love that town! The staff their were so kind to us. The manager Melanie, Greg, Matt and Katie for making the announcement every half hour over the store public address system of what we were doing out front of the store.

Just 30 minutes into our food drive in Farmington, Allie from Carabassett came by with an entire cart full of food. I met so many nice people who donated everything from one or two cans to cash donations.

A gentlemen working with RDM Electric wished me a happy Thanksgiving and said turn around, he donated 12, 12-packs of canned vegetables. Another great moment was when three UMF students came by with their donations of food. Bianca, Marissa and Kennedy weren't even going to shop, they just came to donate their food.

Also, one older gentlemen, was going to cash in his returnable bottles and ended up give them to our food drive.

The generosity was tremendous!
