There's always something special about the first snowfall of the year, isn't there? I mean sure, we all b*tch and moan about how crappy the roads are or that we have to take an extra 5 minutes to warm up the car- but admit it - it's damn near magical.

It's like living in a snow globe version of your favorite Hallmark Christmas movie. And it has become quite clear, at least from some photos we saw today, that it's not just human beings that really soak up that first snowfall of the season. As it turns out, the local swine love it, too!

In a Facebook post from the Windsor Maine Community Events & Announcements page, someone had posted some photos of the wayward pigs wandering down the Legion Park Road in the morning hours Wednesday. Fortunately, according to the comments, the pigs were safe and the owner had been located. But, watching a photo journal of their adventure is still hilarious and heartwarming.

I mean really, how precious are these two piggies just wandering around in the freshly fallen snow? Fortunately they weren't turned into road bacon by an oncoming snow plow. That would have sucked wicked.

This is one of the best things I've seen in recent weeks on the old community page. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love people complaining about fireworks and strange vehicles they saw driving down the road, but this is just great.
