Trace Adkins Performing In Augusta, Maine In October

Country star Trace Adkins is going to be making a trip to Central Maine this fall.

Born in the small town of Sarepta, Louisiana, Adkins has released ten studio albums in the last quarter century.  His first experience in the music business was performing in a gospel group when he was in high school.  After high school, he played football for Louisiana Tech and worked on oil rigs.  Later, he had parts in a few movies.

His career really took off when he moved to Nashville in 1992.  His first single that he wrote, "There's A Girl In Texas", was released in 1996.  After that, he had a string of hits and albums.

He has also appeared on several TV game shows and was a part of the cast of Celebrity Apprentice.  Currently, he is starring in the new TV drama "Monarch".
