The University of Maine at Augusta is a wonderful resource to the city. I've always been impressed with the dedication of the faculty and staff for going above and beyond to reach to community and help bridge the gap to higher learning.

One area where UMA really shines is with its service to the veterans in the central Maine area. So much in fact they were recently awarded and recognized by the Military Times as "Best For Vets"

According to a press release by UMA, UMA President Rebecca Wyke said:

“Receiving this recognition confirms our commitment to providing educational opportunities to military service members and veterans that began in 1965 and continues to this day,”

UMA is a wonderful match for veterans and even current military members looking to expand their education.

Congratulations University of Maine at Augusta for a job well done!
