It's an exciting time for those people who are considering teaching as a career path. Despite the craziness of education during a pandemic, as things return to a more normal state in the world of education the University of Maine at Augusta has begun offering two new bachelor of science degrees.

First is an early elementary & elementary, and also a program for secondary education with concentrations in different subject matter.

According to UMA's website current undergrads and even persons thinking about making a career path change should reach out to UMA to see how these programs can best meet their needs.

One of the many benefits of the UMA programs is the distant learning opportunity. This is a unique offering for those aspiring teachers to be able to learn and participate in a variety of settings to work towards their degree.

UMA has several strong educational opportunities including collaboration with U Maine at Machias for early childhood and special education, as well as post BS certificates in specific concentrations.
