It's almost time to shine with the brightest colors and some serious amount of sweat because the United Way of The Tri-Valley Areas' fifth annual Color Me 5k is this Saturday.

That's right; it's just a few days away.

The United Way Of The Tri-Valley Area's Color Me 5k gets kicked off at 9 am on Saturday, August 28th, at the Narrow Gauge Cinema in Farmington. The registration fee is $30 per single person, and groups of 5 or more are $25 per person. If you'd like to participate, there is still time to sign up, and you can do so HERE.

If you've never attended a color me 5k or a color run, then maybe you didn't understand when I mentioned just how colorful and fun this event will be. A color me 5k is exactly that; participants show up in light-colored clothing to run or walk a 5k. While the participants are making the trek, volunteers throughout the course will pop color-filled smoke bombs. The smoke which ends up sticking to clothing gives the illusion of tye-dye.

Funds raised will be distributed around the communities within the Tri-Valley community.
