So, why was this nearly $1 million Central Maine home never really lived in?  Well, the basic answer is because the house is nearly brand new.  However, we have a feeling there is more to the story.

According to the listing on Realtor.com, the home at 650 Lake Street in Auburn, was designed for the owners.  The words this listing uses are "owner crafted".  Construction was started in 2020, but the finishing touches were not put on the home until the Spring of 2022.  They had reportedly intended for it to be their forever home.  However, for some unknown reason, this beautiful property is now for sale.

The house, which sits on 2.75 acres of land, encompasses 3,500 square feet.  It has four bedrooms and has 5 bathrooms (2 full and 3 half).  It has an open concept downstairs with a living room and dining room adjacent to the kitchen.

One of the most striking features of the home is the chandelier that hangs above the living room.  It features what looks like old iron pipes and raindrop light fixtures.

The home has four bedrooms.  The primary bedrooms has a massive walk-in closet and an amazing bathroom that has a shower and a tub.  The tub has its own fireplace and a TV.

Part of the home is taken up by a two vehicle garage.  It really is not an attached garage - it's really a part of the home.  There is also a smaller bay that can be used to store toys like bikes, kayaks, and side-by-sides.
