The 2014 Lisbon Left-Hand Club horseshoe league season has personally been a tough one for me. I missed about half of the season due to my schedule at work. That could have led to a lower ringer percentage for me this season, not that it had even been very high! The team this year did well, we finished in 10th place winning more games then we lost during the season. I think that was a first for us.

The playoffs are running very late this year due to a few rain outs during the season. The playoffs began last Wednesday and we defeated the 7th place team 4 to 2.

Last night we shot against the second place team and what a rowdy bunch. They have fun, but take a longtime to play the game. It went all six games again and we won 4 to 2! We are in the final four!

I shot two very good games out of the three I played and the other guys on the team came through with some very big shots.

Horseshoe season continues next Wednesday. We are playing a team that have shooters on it that have a ringer percentage of 40% or higher. Our best shooters come in at 19%. It will be a tough task to win!

It's also bitter sweet, because during the season, I was told that my team only wanted three members on the team. Translation, myself and Scott weren't on the team next year. So, it would be awesome to go out with a big bang!

No matter what happens next week, I want to congratulate and thank the guys on the team. Noland Easler (one of my best friends), Lad Brown, Mike Thompson and Scott Pomerleau. I enjoy pitching horseshoes, but I really play in the league because it's a chance to hangout with some good friends. I am going to miss that.
