Sharon Buck
Coolest Dad Ever!
Sometimes when you read stories, you're like "Why didn't I think of that?" This is one such story and...it can be done!
Every child has their favorite toy. Anderson's is Beanie, the stuffed cat we made at The Fun Park in Benton over a year ago. Not an afternoon goes by when he doesn't run up the stairs when we get home from school and he finds her. He brings her downstairs and we do home
Sharon’s Son Anderson Has a Big Idea!
It's not unusual for kids to have ideas. They come up with some doozies, don't they? At a recent trip to a campground Anderson had an idea and he won't let go of it because he brought them home. And, as a mom, you try to indulge your child. But THIS idea had merit...and make him money in the future!
Anderson wants to grow
LL Bean Has a Giant Boot?
I must have been living under a rock but I literally had no idea that when I went to Freeport I would see something that is an icon in the state of Maine.
Oh, sure, I knew LL Bean made the best boots in the world but I didn't know they made the BIGGEST!
Hood at the Hard Rock
One of our very own is headed a little south to compete to become the Star of the Day! Community Auditions, a television show that tapes its episodes at the Hard Rock Cafe at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, has selected Chad Hood of Clinton for its next competition.
Hood, founder and lead singer of modern country band, Cold Blue Steel, will be taping the show on September 30.

Sharon’s Apple Pie!
With all of the apples we picked on Sunday at the Apple Farm in Fairfield, I need to get some good use out of them! I have always been envious of people who make the apple pies at the fairs that win the blue ribbons. I don't believe I'll ever be creative enough to make such a beautiful looking pie but at least mine tastes good!
Sharon Buck Goes Grocery Shopping and Keeps It Under 100…Dollars
Oh, it's not easy. With the price of gas and oil, people have been having to cut where it hurts the most...the fridge.
What do you do when you have kids or pets at home? When you need toilet paper or paper towels? What about the little extras like a half gallon of ice cream every once in a while?
BEE Thankful
Not to get all philosophical on everyone but, gosh darn it, life is short, isn’t it? One minute you’re crawling around in your diaper and the next you’re watching your own kid doing the same thing.
It’s hard to believe next month I will be turning 38. I don’t mind it one bit. I say as long as we are able to have another birthday, who cares? I still feel like I’m 23. People think I look 26 (I’ll ta
Sharon Hit a Moose Last Night
I had just played Beaver Brook Campgound in Monmouth. It was 10:20 pm and I called Chad to say I was on my way home. It's a 45 minute jaunt to Clinton. At night you always have to be careful. There have been many scary nights driving home from gigs. Gigs where moose and deer jumped out in front, ice and snow made it impossible to get home and some nights where you just pull over to sleep for a few
Sharon’s High School Homecoming?
Ok. You can stop laughing. Yes, that is my high school yearbook picture. 1992 was a very good year. However, not a good year for fashion.
The reason I humiliate myself in front of all of you today is to tell you the exciting news I received yesterday. I receieved a phone call from my old woodshop teacher, Mr. Mark Swett. It was such a surprise!
Sharon’s Pumpkin Cheesecake
Ahh...Fall. It's almost here. But I can't wait for it to come! I was driving to the grocery store to pick up a few things and I suddenly had the inspiration for dessert. There were pumpkins lining the store and I knew I had to do something with pumpkin. What better recipe to have than by the incredible...
Mary Chapin Carpenter in Waterville
If you weren't there, you missed a great concert last night. Country music star and 5 time Grammy Award winning artist Mary Chapin Carpenter was in concert at the Waterville Opera House. Most of the people there saw her in concert at Sugarloaf back in the summer of 1993. At least, I think it was 1993. It's been so long I can't remember. But it's about time she came back!
Apple Coffee Cake
It's apple season! Take advantage of the deliciousness Maine has to offer with all of the apple orchards that are ready to help you and your family take home something yummy! An apple a day keeps the doctor away...that's what they say. So whether you're a McIntosh, Courtland, Gala or a Macoun fan, there is a recipe for everyone to enjoy!
Song For Mother/Son Dance at Wedding
So many calls and emails come in to me asking for ideas of songs for events and times in people's lives they'd like to put to music or to dance to on their wedding day. And most of the time I've been able to come up with just the right ones for certain occasions. I always keep an ear out for them.
Every now and then you hear a song that hits you...right in the heart. And I found this one.

Awesome Banana Bread…Yum!
When I first became a wife in 1995 my mother gave me one of her biggest treasures. It wasn't jewelry or photos of my ancestors or advice handed down from generation to generation. It wasn't her wedding dress to wear on my big day. It wasn't something new, something borrowed or blue...but it was something old.
