Kiley is a six year girl from the greater Portland area who is battling Leukemia. Surgeries, chemotherapy and heparin doses daily have taken their toll but Kiley continues to smile and fight. Jana Kramer and her husband Michael Caussin have reportedly split after a little over one year of marriage. Citing an anonymous source “close to the couple, says that Kramer and Caussin have separated, and that Caussin is being treated for undisclosed reasons at a rehabilitation center.

The Portland Police Department has a new officer this morning, Zachary Johnson. According to WMTW, Zachary has Ewing’s sarcoma, a bone cancer. He has been battling the disease since he was 15. His cancer recently returned.

Hailey Steward is a very spirited 8-year-old battling B-cell leukemia for the second time. She was first diagnosed in October 2012. This October she was taken to the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital and has spent almost all of her time there since. Hailey has two wishes for this Christmas.

Kamryn Renfrom a 9 year old girl from Grand Junction, Colorado was kept out of class at Caprock Academy on Monday because she shaved her head. The school has a strict policy about girls shaving their head, but Kamryn’s reason was a special one.

The most recent happening with Patrick's (the boyfriend) cancer look like he will be in a pattern for the next four or five months.  Patrick has apparently done all the ‘other stuff’ he needed to do and now has to just focus on his chemotherapy. The other stuff included a trip to Boston to visit the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

My boyfriend, significant other, whatever you want to call him was recently diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. As the support system to him on this, it has been an amazing journey of what goes on for a patient. Recently, his cancer journey has taken him to cancer class and chemotherapy. What a learning curve he is facing.
