The 2020/2021 school year is knocking on our doorsteps, and parents are scrambling in all directions, just hoping they do what's best for their child/children. We can expect to see some families homeschooling, others will send their kids in for the 50/50 split of in-school instruction and virtual schooling, and then you'll have the families that only school virtually.

In my family, you'll be seeing a mix of all of it. Our daughter Belle will be heading off to school for the 50/50 in school and virtual setting, but our son Logan will homeschool this school year.

Remember, this might not look like what you're doing in your house with your family, but it doesn't mean its wrong. We have made the best possible decision regarding both of our children, and there needs, just as you and other parents are making the just choices for you.

As I prep for our upcoming home school year, I thought I'd put together a list of all my must-have items. Below, you will find everything from the curriculum we will be using, to the items we will use to stay organized and everything in between.

We are taking a more non-traditional approach to homeschool this year. As you can see, we will be touch base on all major subjects, but we will be taking on necessary household skills as well. Cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, and learning how to budget will all be part of our curriculum as I think it's super important that kids learn these things early to instill good habits.

How is your family schooling this year? Will you be mixing it up, entirely virtual, or homeschooling? Do you have any recommendations on homeschooling?  Either way, I want to hear from you!
