One of my favorite places to visit in Augusta is the Viles Arboretum. It's almost like you forget that you are in the city. With it's abundant green space and walking trails, it's easy to get transported to beautiful scenic oasis right in the city of Augusta limits.

According to centralmaine.com, the Viles Arboretum attracted many guests both new and old during the pandemic as people flocked to be outside and to also social distance. As things are now getting back to a more normal environment the Viles Arboretum wants to make sure everyone knows that they still would love for you to come out and visit.

Viles Arboretum is also excited to announce that they have a brand new education center that will spearhead several educational programs that can now have a indoor space. The education center will be a 3 season classroom with a lot of hands-on learning for kids.

Speaking of which if you are looking for some opportunities for kids this summer, the Young Stewards Summer Program will be running August 2nd through the 6th. Contact the Viles Arboretum for availability (207) 626-7989
