Bug Light Kite Festival

Have you been told to 'go fly a kite'? Well, this Saturday,May 18th is the day to do it! It's the day of the Bug Light Kite Festival at Bug Light Park in South Portland.Enjoy a day of old-fashioned, kite-flying fun at Bug Light Park! Members of the Nor'Easters Kite Club and Kites Over New England (KONE) will be offering a fantastic display of fun and fanciful kites. There will be fun activities like bol racing and a candy drop for the kids, and they'll be helping anyone looking to learn how to fly their own kite.

Kites will be available for purchase in the museum gift shop at the park. There will be a BBQ at the event. The Portland Breakwater Lighthouse (aka Bug Light) will be open to the public during the festival. Rain date is May 25th.

The event is from 11 to 4 this Saturday,May 18th and free to attend.
