CDC Issues Alert For Frozen Shrimp Salmonella Outbreak
The Centers For Disease Control and Prevention has just posted a food safety alert regarding a Salmonella Outbreak that has been linked to frozen cooked shrimp.
According to the CDC website, this outbreak is responsible for atleast six individuals being sick, and atleast two people being hospitalized due to this exposure.
The frozen cooked shirmp in question has been narrowed to Avanti Frozen Foods which is sold under several different names including Hannaford, Honest Catch, Waterfront Bistro and others.
Although the shrimp was imported from December 2020 - February 2021 it is also possible that the items may still have been sold up until very recently.

People are advised to throw away any questionable products or contact they retailer they were purchased from for a refund.
