Central Church Shines With Unique "Giving Hope" Gift Program

This morning we spoke with Kara from the Central Church in Augusta who was telling us about a wonderful community outreach program they have called "Giving Hope"

The goal of this great event is to recreate a shopping experience like no other for kids and familes that could use a little help this holiday. This program through generous donations provides a family the opportunity to literally go "shopping" for holiday gifts in the virtual stores that are set up by Central Church!

Every shopper is greeted and welcomed, offered snacks and refreshments, and assigned a personal shopper who will walk them along through the ‘store’. The personal shopper will help out choosing gifts to fit the needs of their children. It's a unique and rewarding experience for all involved.

After picking out the chosen gifts, they are brought to a gift wrapping station. Central Church provides all the wrapping paper and supplies so they can wrap their gifts before they leave. They will even wrap for you if you'd prefer.

It really is a refreshing and unique experience that engages the child and family in the process.
