I do!  I've always wanted to partake in this activity on Old Orchard Beach.  Usually, I find out about it after it's done.  This year, I'm being proactive.  The 32nd Annual Sand Sculpture Competition is coming to Old Orchard Beach on July 3rd.

THEME: MYSTERIES OF THE DEEP

You begin the construction of your masterpiece at 9:30am and put the finishing touches to it at 12:30pm.  Judging begins promptly at 12:45pm.  Winner announced at 2pm.

  • Register at Ocean Park Association or at the beach the day of.
  • All teams must have, at least, 1 child (family event)
  • No mechanical devices or structural supports
  • Stake out a 20' by 20' plot
  • No fires or fireworks
  • Paints must be water soluble and eco friendly
  • Remove ALL accessories and stakes before the tide comes in
