It is kind of hard to believe that it has been nearly a year since the Denny's location in Augusta closed for the final time.

Most of us found out about the closure from a note posted to the door of the restaurant just a few hours before the closure.  However, as we understand it, some of the more regular customers had been tipped off to the closure a few weeks before the restaurant's last day.

If you often drive by the now closed Civic Center Drive restaurant you may be asking yourself, "what's going to replace Denny's?"

So far, we have no word on any potential replacements for the business.

If you have always wanted to open a restaurant or bar, or maybe you just want to own a commercial building in a prime location, the old Denny's is for sale.

It is listed by the Boulos Company and has a list price of $1,100,000.  Built in 1999, the building has 3,257 square feet of usable space.  The lot includes a roadside sign and 65 parking spots.

Clearly, this would be the perfect place for an old-school diner or burger bar.  However, the possibilities are endless.  It could easily become home to another type of restaurant/  Or, keeping the nostalgic feel, it could even be converted into a bar/arcade.
