Rescheduled Augusta, Maine Fireworks Display Will Happen Saturday Night
Earlier this month, we told you that the Augusta Downtown Alliance had partnered with Central Maine Pyrotechnics to put on a fireworks display.
The fireworks display had been scheduled for a Saturday earlier this month, but had to be postponed because of crappy weather.
Now, we are getting word that the fireworks display has been rescheduled for tomorrow night (May 30th).
The best viewing of the fireworks display will be from Mill Park or from the "small bridge" (the Calumet Bridge). The free fireworks display is scheduled to start at 8:45 PM.
One of the great things about the display being held downtown is that you can check out some of our cool stores, have a meal, or just have a few drinks with friends before you head over to the park to see fireworks.
Here in the United States, we love a good fireworks display.
Obviously, most communities have some kind of fireworks display on the 4th of July, but we don't always need to be celebrating a holiday in order to shoot off some fireworks.
For example, you'll also frequently see fireworks displays at community festivals and agricultural fairs. Some of our favorite amusement parks, like Palace Playland and Funtown / Splashtown USA, even have frequent fireworks displays throughout the summer.
If you end up going to this fireworks display, please put your phone down and actually enjoy them! You thought we were going to ask you to send us pictures and videos using our app, didn't you? Yeah, we're full of surprises!
