Five Country Songs That Got Kristi Through Quarantine
I love a good song that speaks directly to my soul, especially when things in life are a little tougher than expected. I mean I love music in general, anything with a great beat and I'm moving but when life gets tough I turn to music as a way to uplift myself.
I hadn't even been on-air in my new position as morning show co-host on B98.5 for a full two weeks when the coronavirus pandemic came roaring out of nowhere. The whole world seemed to stop for everyone except me, or at least that's how it felt. My days got busier and I was no longer just a new radio personality, I was also a full-time mom, wife, and teacher of two.
So, in a normal me fashion, I'd just crank some good ol' country music that would make me realize this too shall pass. Sometimes you just need to Be a Light, know The Bones are solid, that we're not far from One Margarita with our friends, standing less than Six Feet Apart from our loved ones, and to be listening as God Whispered Your Name.
Be a Light - Thomas Rhett featuring Chris Tomlin, Hillary Scott, Keith Urban, Reba McEntire
The Bones- Marren Morris
One Margarita - Luke Bryan
Six Feet Apart- Luke Combs
God Whispered Your Name - Keith Urban
