One of the really cool things about living in New England is the number of amazing attractions we have.

Even better, these attractions are not all centered on the summer months.

Yes, most of the more notable attractions are operating during the warmer months, but there are some amazing things that happen during the late fall and winter.

One of the most well known fall/winter attractions in Maine is the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens Gardens Aglow.

What is Gardens Aglow?

Picture thousands of lights wrapped around trees, sculptures, and paths, all glowing against the cold winter nights.  The whole place feels like stepping into another world, and it is right in Boothbay.  Families bundle up, sip cocoa, and wander through the displays, kids pointing out their favorite sparkling animals or giant flowers.

Located at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Gardens Aglow is the perfect mix of cozy and magical, and it has become one of the most popular holiday events in New England.

What Are the Dates For This Year's Gardens Aglow?

According to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens website, the first night of the event will be Black Friday (November 28th).

Basically, it will be open Thursday through Sunday through December 21st.  However, it will be open nightly for the last two weeks of the year, with the exception of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day.

The last day for the attraction will be January 3rd.

Keep in mind that there will also be "early bird" dates on November 15th, 16th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, and 26th.

How Much Does Gardens Aglow Cost?

Early Bird tickets cost $19 for adults, $17 for seniors, and $10 for children.

Regular season tickets cost $23 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $13 for children.
