According to a press release from the Maine Department of Public Safety, a 51 year old man from Jay has been arrested in connection with a fire that happened on September 18th, 2021.

Christopher White, of Jay, was arrested in Portland on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021.  He was charged in connection with a fire that happened at 11 Oak Street in Jay, where he was living at the time.  The fire damaged the residence, two vehicles, and a motorcycle.

White suffered minor injuries in the fire.

The press release goes on to say:

After his arrest on Wednesday White was transported to the Cumberland County Jail where he posted bail. He is expected to appear in a Franklin County Court in November.  The Fire Marshal’s office was assisted during the investigation by the Jay Police Department and Livermore Falls Police Department.
