It's almost time to donate blood and give the gift of life again!

According to a Facebook event made by Augusta Elks #964, the Augusta Elks and the American Red Cross are teaming up again to host another blood drive. Both know just how important and literally life-saving the need for blood donors is in any given year, let alone in the middle of a pandemic.

This blood drive will occur at the Augusta Elks Lodge, located at 397 Civic Center Drive in Augusta, on Monday, March 22th, from 1 pm to 6 pm. Donors will be required to follow all of the CDC recommended guidelines, and as a way to ensure all volunteers and donors stay safe, masks and social distancing are required.

The Red Cross asks that you pre-register for your appointment vs. walking in. The pre-scheduled appointments will help manage the number of donors at one time as well as keeping them socially distant.

Click HERE to pre-register for this event; you can do so by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS, visit RedCrossBlood.org, or thru the Red Cross Donor App. Text "BLOODAPP" to 90999 to download the free app. Donating blood takes on average 1 hour of your day but could potentially give someone in need another shot at life.
