Kristi And Her Family Spent Their Saturday At Old Orchard Beach

The Summer of 2020 has been one for the books, a Summer we will never forget. My kids have been out of school since Friday, March 13th, yeah it was Friday the 13th. Their Summer vacation started when snow was still flying, and nothing about the last five months has been "normal."

Before their Summer vacation ends and either homeschool or virtual school starts, we wanted to spend at least one day at the beach. Old Orchard Beach was the beach we decided on, for a few reasons, our kids had never been, and we wanted to visit Grammy (my mom) who is managing the Pier.

I'll be honest; it didn't look like a typical day at Old Orchard Beach. Due to the spacing of guest and social distancing requirements, the amusement park part of Palace Playland was closed, and the arcade only had a few open games. The Pier wasn't nearly as busy as you would see it in a typical year, but in the end, I think it made our experience that much better.
