Kristi Bought A New Mattress In Hopes Of Sleeping Better
I'm like a little kid in a candy shop at the moment. My mind and heart are both racing, and my excitement is unmatched. Every few years, I make it a point to give each room in our house a little makeover, more like a little refresher. New curtains maybe a new throw blanket for the couch with a few matching pillows. You know just to add a little bit of change to my life.
This year, however, I have decided our bedroom will be getting a FULL makeover, not just a little refresher. In the 15 years I've been with my husband, we have never purchased a brand-new mattress. We've always used the full-size bed my husband had before we got married.
Our mattress sits on a box spring directly on the floor, and I swear it is for a good reason, though. I'm a toss and turner, I wake up half off the side of the bed, sometimes my face is on the floor, and my body is still on the bed and more often then not I don't even realize I'm not in bed. Lately, though I just can't sleep, as soon as my foot is hanging off the side of the bed, I am WIDE awake.
Last year while on vacation, our condo had a king-size mattress, and not once did I wake up in the middle of the night or half off the side of the bed. I slept like a rock, and I even found my self waking up in the same position as I went to bed. Seriously I have never slept so good in my whole life.
So, when deciding to buy a new mattress in hopes that I can finally start getting a solid night's sleep. I knew it had to be a king-size. Plus, now I get to have a little shopping spree all while getting a bedroom makeover. And, hopefully, some sleep too!

Stay tuned because I can't wait to share with you the results once everything arrives, and I get it all done.
